Confident Chelsea Fan Says He'll Give £100 to Fans on Twitter if Riyad Mahrez Doesn't Join Blues

One wealthy Chelsea fan has decided to put their money where their mouth is by claiming on Twitter that they will give everyone who retweets the post £100, if Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez is not a Chelsea player on Friday morning.

It is an audacious claim, and although hard to prove if the PayPal account holding over £1m is in fact real, many fans are getting in on the action as they take the chance that the Algerian will not be a Chelsea player by the end of the transfer window deadline.

The post on Twitter, reads: "If Riyad Mahrez isn't a Chelsea player by the end of deadline day. I will give everyone who RT's this tweet £100. Rt Fast #DeadlineDay."

The Chelsea fan is seemingly part of a minority who are very confident of where Mahrez will end up at the end of the transfer window, as his location following his release from the Algeria squad to secure a move remains uncertain.

The odds are seemingly in the favour of those who share, so if the tweet is at all serious (which is highly doubtful) then you might as well get in on the act and secure yourself a few quid.

Mahrez has made it known that his desire is to leave the Foxes this summer and as such has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs, as well as Italian giants Roma, but with the transfer deadline fast approaching and no further indication of where he will end up.
