Chelsea are preparing to ward off interest in their star Belgian duo Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois by offering the pair new lucrative contracts.
The reigning Premier League champions have grown increasingly concerned about interest in the forward and goalkeeper by Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in recent times, and want to snuff out any potential bids before they are made.
With that in mind, the Sun has alleged that the Blues will offer new deals to Hazard and Courtois in the coming weeks, and both are expected to receive pay rises to keep them happy at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has been the subject of much speculation surrounding his future in west London, with Los Blancos and Les Parisiens both eager to prise him away from his current side.
In somewhat of a stroke of luck, the 26-year-old's broken ankle - suffered on international duty in June - prevented either European giant from making an official offer for his services.
Hazard currently earns around £200,000-a-week and, in keeping with reports back in September, Chelsea are believed to be ready to make him the highest paid player in England's top flight with a salary of £300,000-a-week.
Talks are supposedly at an advanced stage already over tying the ex-Lille star down and, providing there are no mishaps along the way, Hazard should pen a new contract that will keep him in England for another four years.
Courtois, meanwhile, is next in line to sit down with the club's hierarchy to discuss the terms of a new £240,000-a-week deal - a contract that would double what he already earns with Antonio Conte's men.
The shot stopper has been linked with Real Madrid as the Champions League holders flip flop between the 25-year-old and Manchester United's David De Gea, and Chelsea will hope that their bumper contract will sweeten his stay.
Courtois was instrumental in helping the Blues lift a second league title in three seasons in May but has had to be patient over fresh terms as the club bolstered their first-team ranks this summer.
With the next transfer window three months away, Chelsea will look to hand Courtois his new contract at long last.
