Chelsea midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko has boldly claimed that he will dye his hair once he scores his first Premier League goal for his side - aptly choosing the colour blue to mark the momentous occasion. Bakayoko is yet to score domestically for his side, but did manage to net in his side's 6-0 Champions League thrashing of Qarabag.

Speaking ahead of his side's Saturday afternoon clash against Crystal Palace, via The Sun, the Frenchman stated:

"As soon as I score a goal I will change the colour of my hair. Possibly to blue. I like changing the colour of my hair from time to time.

“I don’t go completely over the top, but sometimes I find it brings me good luck. Since the Man City game I put some white in my hair.

The 23-year-old is set for an extended run in the Chelsea midfield, after first-choice defensive midfielder N'Golo Kanté was ruled out for up to three weeks with a pulled hamstring. Bakayoko has made no secret of his delight in joining the Premier League champions, and claimed:

"I’ve always dreamed about playing for certain clubs. Chelsea is one of those.

"Last season I looked out for them, watching and seeing how best I could play with them. I really thought they were the team in which I could express myself. The chance to work with Antonio Conte was one of the biggest reasons for coming. He’s a coach who has always believed in me and followed my progress from his days at Juve."

The Blues will be hoping to bounce back from their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City, and a trip to bottom of the table Crystal Palace could be just what they need to boost their confidence.

With star striker Álvaro Morata and Kanté both injured, Antonio Conte's side will have to hope that their back-up choices are strong enough to earn them the three points.
