WATCH: USA U-17s Crash Out of the World Cup, England Moves On
England's Under-17 national team defeated the USA 4-1 in the World Cup quarterfinals thanks to a great performance by Rhian Brewster.
The 17-year-old who plays for Liverpool's U-23 squad scored two early goals in the first half, assisted the third and finished off the day with a hat-trick in the second, making it 4-1 on the day. His first goal came just after 10 minutes as he finished off a fantastic volley inside the box, and a few minutes later he made it two thanks to a great run and an even better finish, going past Justin Garces.
Once the USA went down 2-0, the Americans woke up and pushed hard to get back in the game, as Tim Weah went wide after a great dribbling attempt and Josh Sargent hit the crossbar. England held on, however, as the first half finished 2-0.
The second half once again saw a strong start by England and Gibbs White made it three after the hour-mark thanks to a great cross by Brewster and in the last minute of stoppage time, he made it a hat-trick as he scored a penalty due to being brought down in the box.
England will now face the winner of Brazil and Germany who play on Sunday.

The Liverpool prospect made it two with a great run.
Right after the second goal, the USA took over the game and after Tim Weah missed, Sargent's shot hit the crossbar.
In the second half, it was more England as Gibbs White made it 3-0.
Josh Sargent got one back for the US with less than 20 minutes to play and it was all to play for. It was a great cross by Sergino Dest from the right hand side.
But in the last minute of the match, as the USA pushed for another goal, England punished with the counter. Dest brought Brewster down in the box and received his marching orders with a red card.
In the end, it was tough match for the Americans as constant lack of focus at the back made it easier for England to capitalize. Plenty of great things to take away from the tournament, but the fact remains, more defensive organization is needed in order to compete with elite competition.
