One Stat That Shows the Area Where Antoine Griezmann Has Bested Messi & Ronaldo

It is fair to say that Antoine Griezmann isn't enjoying the best seasons in front of goal for club and country this term.

The Atletico Madrid striker has bagegd just three goals all season for Diego Simeone's men, but is still being tracked by some of the world's biggest clubs in Barcelona and Manchester United.

Why would that be so? Well, It turns out that Griezmann is leading the pack in one particularly impressive goals race if OptaJoe's Spanish Twitter account is to be believed. 

It turns out, no other footballer has scored more 'match winning' strikes than Griezmann since the 2015/16 La Liga campaign.

Not even world superstars Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo can compete with the France international's 20-goal winning haul in Spain's top flight, which is a feat that isn't to be sniffed at by any stretch of the imagination.

He's yet to net against any of Atletico's title rivals in 2017/18, but don't bet against Griezmann adding to that impressive tally before the season ends in May.
