Chelsea star Willian has admitted that it will be 'difficult' to defend the Premier League title this season given the form of front-runners Manchester City.
Having won 10 of their opening 11 games and yet to lose in the Premier League, most have Manchester City as clear favourites for the title, with some even speculating that they could emulate Arsenal's famous 'invincibles'.
Willian is apparently amongst those who view City as favourites, and the Brazilian remains realistic about Chelsea's chances as they sit are nine points off the top.
“Manchester City are playing very well but I think we can fight for the title until the end," he said.
“It is difficult to play when you were champion last season and to fight for the title again as every team wants to win against Chelsea."
Similarly to City, Chelsea were top of the league on match day 11 last season, and managed to retain their spot for the duration of the season.
Whether the blue side from Manchester will achieve a similar feat remains to be seen, but this season certainly won't go without entertainment for City fans with the side already scoring 38 goals this season - preparing to smash previous goal records out of the water.
Chelsea travel to the Hawthorns this Saturday to play West Brom, which was incidentally the fixture that secure the title for Antonio Conte's side with a late goal from Michy Batshuayi last season.
Meanwhile, Leicester play host to Manchester City in what has the potential to be an intriguing test for Pep Guardiola given the Foxes counter-attacking style.
