Florentino Perez Eyes Wantaway Arsenal Forward as Possible Fix for Real Madrid's Poor Form

Alexis Sanchez is reportedly moving up of Real Madrid’s wish list, as the January transfer window edges closer.

The Arsenal forward is being looked at to help the uncharacteristically underwhelming front line of Los Blancos, according to rumour pushers Don Balon.

However, whilst Real are interested in the former Barcelona man, ex-Barça coach Pep Guardiola is still interested in reuniting with his former charge after going close to bringing him to current club Manchester City back in the summer.

29-year-old Sanchez is one of several Arsenal stars who appear to be set to leave the club either in January of next summer, with his contract up in June.

Real Madrid's need for attacking reinforcements has been exacerbated by a lacklustre defence of their league title, as they trail leaders Barcelona by ten points.

Real President Florentino Perez has already spoken about his desire to strengthen the squad in January (despite allowing the likes of Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez to leave in the summer) and he is looking to find a reasonably cheap fix to sort out the Champions League holders' poor form.

It is reported by Don Balon that Perez will lodge a £30m bid to the Arsenal board in the near future. However, if negotiations stall, Sanchez will be able to sign a pre-agreement with any foreign club (such as Real) as soon as the window opens.
