Barcelona Players Reportedly Raging at Leaked Information Surrounding Philippe Coutinho Transfer

Barcelona stars are reportedly furious over leaks regarding Philippe Coutinho's proposed move to Camp Nou in the new year - none more so than Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

It was a stressful summer for Coutinho. After declaring that he wanted to leave Liverpool, Barcelona submitted three massive offers for the 25-year-old - all of which were rejected.

However, Coutinho seemed to get on with life in Merseyside once the transfer window shut, and everyone currently assumes that he will join the Blaugrana in either the January transfer period, or next summer.

But now, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Barcelona stars are already angry with their supposed soon-to-be teammate after his would-be wage was leaked amongst the players.

According to the report, Coutinho is set to become the second highest paid player amongst the Barcelona squad - with only Lionel Messi earning more than the Brazilian. This means that Liverpool's playmaker would bypass the likes of Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and Gerard Pique in terms of wages; and it hasn't gone down well in Catalonia.

Furthermore, Ivan Rakitic is reportedly angry at the idea of Coutinho moving to the club in the first place - knowing full well that it would be him that has to make way in the starting lineup upon Coutinho's arrival.

The Croatian has been a first team regular for Barca ever since he joined the club from Sevilla in 2014, but has made it clear that he will force a move away from the club if Ernesto Valverde's number one target joins.
