Manchester United are reportedly set to enter the congested race to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.
The 20-year-old USA international has been linked with a number of Europe's top clubs in recent times - most frequently Chelsea and Liverpool - while Dortmund seem to be resigned to selling the young forward in the summer.
However, while Chelsea appear the frontrunners for Pulisic's signature at the moment, with Maurizio Sarri's side keen to push through a January deal, Manchester United could yet add more competition.
German publication SportBild (via Sports Witness) has reported that United are 'positioning' themselves for a summer bid, assuming Pulisic doesn't move in the winter window.
It has been reported that it will take upwards of €60m to tempt Dortmund into selling the player, whose contract expires in 2020.
While Dortmund sit at the top of the Bundesliga table, Pulisic has underwhelmed slightly this season and has been outshone by teammates such as Jadon Sancho this season.
SportWitness' report also notes the added attraction of a player like Pulisic is his stature in the USA and potentially commercial benefits to his suitors.
The attacking midfielder has been capped 23 times by the USA national team, making his debut back in 2016.
