Chelsea secured their first win of Group E with a 4-0 win against Krasnodar in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Callum Hudson-Odoi bagged the opener eight minutes before half-time following a howler from Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvei Safonov.
Timo Werner added another from the spot after Jorginho missed Chelsea's first penalty of the night, before Hakim Ziyech blasted his first for the Blues in the Champions League with ten minutes to go.
Pulisic added a fourth in stoppage time with a goal after coming on from the substitutes bench.
The hosts started well and put pressure on Frank Lampard's side in Russia. Edouard Mendy was called into action inside four minutes as he tipped Utkin's effort round the post.
Hakim Ziyech recorded the Blues' first shot on target of the night in the ninth minute but Safonov got down low at his near post to parry away.
But in the 12th minute Chelsea had the chance to take the lead via the penalty spot after Timo Werner was fouled in the box. Jorginho stepped up and despite sending Matvei Safonov the wrong way, the post denied the Italian.
It remained a close affair however in the 37th minute, Callum Hudson-Odoi broke the deadlock to earn his first goal in the Champions League. Hakim Ziyech played a direct ball into Kai Havertz and the German played it across to Hudson-Odoi inside the box, and although he hit it a poor shot at goal, Safonov had a howler and let it slip past him.
Kovacic had a half chance three minutes into second-half but he hit his half volley just wide of Safonov's goal.
Mendy was called into action in the 55th minute as he denied Gazinsky superbly after the Krasnodar man fired a volley into the ground towards goal, before it ricocheted off the crossbar.
Ziyech had a good chance just after the hour mark after Havertz led a Chelsea counter, but the Moroccan's effort was poor as he fired it straight at Safonov.
Mendy was called into action straight after, after Kovacic misplaced a pass but the Blues keeper saved well from Berg.
Lampard made a triple change in the 70th minute to try to regain control of possession as Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and N'Golo Kante entered the action.
Chelsea were handed another penalty after Christian Pulisic's shot was handled and Werner stepped up and rifled it into the net to double the Blues' lead in the 76th minute.
Ziyech sealed the points ten minutes from time after he tucked away following a good build up which Christian Pulisic and Werner linked up out on the right side.
Pulisic added another in stoppage time as he squeezed it in at the front post past Safonov who had a night to forget in goal for Krasnodar.
Chelsea move into first place in Group E for the time being to end a run of two consecutive goalless draws. A result which will please Lampard, however there is still plenty to work on.
A switch in system to the 4-3-3 a highlight for the Blues as they looked much more in control following the triple change with 20 minutes to go.
Next up for Chelsea is Burnley in the Premier League.
