Agent of Wolfsberger striker Shon Weissman has denied rumours linking forward to Chelsea and other Premier League clubs

Wolfsberger striker Shon Weissman was linked with a move to England after a sensational start to the season in the Austrian Bundesliga.

The Austrian side sit third in the table after ten games, and Weissman has been a key part to them winning 70% of their league games so far this season.

Weissman, 23, has found the net on 11 occasions this season, averaging more than a goal a game, whilst hitting 17 goals in all competition from 13 appearances since joining from Maccabi Haifa this summer.

A report from 90min suggested that Chelsea, Leicester City, Tottenham and West Ham were all tracking the Israeli but the 23-year-old's agent has rubbished all claims, suggesting they are all 'fictitious' rumours.

Frank Lampard is currently counting on Tammy Abraham to fire goals in for Chelsea this season and the 22-year-old is taking his chances with eight goals so far in the Premier League.England

However, the Israeli's agent Lino Heiduck denied all claims that these sides including Chelsea were interested in the forward, insisting Weissman is 'very comfortable' in Austria.

"That's not true," said Heiduck responding to claims of the links to England.

"This is not reputable and fictitious. Being in contact with clubs and managers, scouts on the ground and watching players, is a normal process. I will not burden Shon with such things.

"Only three months ago he signed a two-year contract with the WAC and only played 13 games for Wolfsberg. He feels very comfortable here."

According to Transfermarkt, Weissman is currently worth £1 million, which is a bargain in comparison to the return of goals he has produced so far this season.

It is unlikely Frank Lampard would be interested in the 23-year-old, having Tammy Abraham on fine form this season, and Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud waiting patiently in the wings for their chance.
