Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has emerged as one of the top two candidates for the Paris Saint-Germain job, after the French champions were knocked out of the Champions League last-16 on Tuesday evening.
Unai Emery failed to go the distance in Europe's elite competition and on viewing, looked well below the standards of Real Madrid at the Parc Des Princes. Despite spending oner €200m in the summer of Neymar, he didn't even feature for the Parisians due to injury and now the hierarchy could seek a change.
According to French journalist Matt Spiro, Antonio Conte is one of the top two targets for the role which could become vacant in the summer.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is also shortlisted however he states that he would only leave Spurs if the supporters wanted him gone.
With the tactical nouse that Conte has and Emery lacks, and the speculation of the Italian being unlikely to carry on beyond the summer at Stamford Bridge, he could be chosen upon to lead PSG to European greatness.
As for, Conte has the final months of the season to focus on with Chelsea struggling for a top four place, but if the Blues manage to win the four games they have at home in the next five fixtures, then it could turn out to be a whole different outlook at the end of the campaign.
