Chelsea have made a huge statement this summer as they prepare to keep hold of their best players by offering midfield engine N'Golo Kante a new deal.
Since his rise to the top, Kante has become one of the best midfielders in the world and his £30 million price tag which Chelsea paid for him two summers ago is proving to be a bargain.
Now the Times are reporting on their back page that Chelsea have offered the Frenchman a deal worth £290,000-a-week which will see him become the club's top earner.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown interest in the World Cup winner and now the Blues are trying to fend off interest by securing him on a longer basis.
The article also states that Eden Hazard is set to be offered a new deal as well which could be higher than what Kante has been offered by the club.
They aren't messing around are they? To be the best, you have to keep hold of your best players and that's what Chelsea are trying to do. Quietly confident for the season ahead...
