Chelsea threaten Atletico Madrid to recall forward Alvaro Morata

Matt Debono

Chelsea have warned Atletico Madrid that if they don't buy Alvaro Morata on a permanent deal this summer, they will recall the forward.

The Spaniard joined Atletico in January on an 18-month loan deal, but there was an option for the Blues to cut the loan short if they didn't purchase the forward permanently this summer.

The Telegraph are reporting that Diego Simeone's side must pay the £50 million if they want to keep him beyond this summer.

Morata didn't live uptown his price tag after he arrived in London from Real Madrid.

They have just spent well over £100 million on their new forward Joao Felix, so Morata's future at the Wanda Metropolitano is in jeopardy.

After his comments made about Chelsea, it is certain that a move back to Chelsea would be a disaster for Morata.
