Conte desires two top players in each position

Chelsea finished off their pre-season tour with another defeat, going down 2-1 to Italian giants Inter.

Conte seemed frustrated during and after the game and has been very vocal in expressing his true thoughts this week. He stated that he is keen to avoid being the third Premier League winning Manager to get the sack the following season in a row, after Jose Mourinho and Claudio Ranieri.

But Conte is desperate for reinforcements in certain areas in his squad and all bar going all out an stating this, it's evident to see his frustrations growing at his targets not being signed.

There is certainly no need at all to panic at the results from pre-season. Conte has worked his team very hard in training with double sessions in the extortionate heat, naturally the players have looked tired. We needn't look too much into these results. Pre-season is merely a chance to get match fit again and experiment.

Conte though has always stated that he wants two top options in each position in his squad for it to succeed and defend the Title. At the moment, he is far from that.

The board need to back Conte and bring in at least another 4 signings before the window shuts in just over 30 days. Do I believe that they will do this? Yes, I do. They have to, simple as that.
