Roma forward Edin Dzeko will be a Chelsea player by the end of the month, according to agent Massimo Briaschi.
The deal to bring Dzeko to West London has been complicated with issues regarding the Bosnian's contract but also the game time he would get if he were to join Chelsea this month.
As quoted in the Daily Star, Briaschi confirmed that Dzeko should be a Blues player by the end of the transfer window which is on Wednesday.
"Now he has a foot in London. There are still situations to be fixed but I think he will go to Chelsea. The proposal is important for Roma and the player."
It was reported earlier in the week that the contract length and add-on fees were the only issue to be sorted out, and this news will be welcomed by Chelsea supporters.
The Seria A star formerly of Manchester City, could be joined by current team-mate Emerson Palmieri as the Blues are set to secure the deal to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge as Kenedy and Baba Rahman depart the club.
Depending on if a deal is done in time, both players could feature in Chelsea's next Premier League game against Bournemouth on Wednesday.
