Chelsea are on the verge of announcing club legend Frank Lampard as their new manager from Derby County.

Lampard has only been in management for just a year but is set to take the hot seat at Stamford Bridge.

But it's an appointment which has divided opinion. Many spout that it's too early for the former England international, whilst others believe it's the right time considering Chelsea's position with the transfer ban.

The ESPN had their say on what they thought of the appointment, and as expected, not all were in agreement.

Gab Marcotti also highlighted how the Blues will play next year under Lampard, with Chelsea set to play a similar system to Sarri with the high press and possession type football.

Do you think Frank Lampard's appointment is too early in his managerial career, or is it a risk worth taking?
