The 21-year-old has grown into the season, and has picked up three goals in the Premier League season so far, all against newly-promoted sides - a brace against Norwich and another against Sheffield United.

Abraham was given his chance by incoming Frank Lampard after spending the season with Aston Villa which saw him get 26 goals and promotion to the top-flight of English football.

Former Chelsea forward Pierluigi Casiraghi is expecting big things from the youngster, but has warned Abraham: "Abraham started really well, he has talent and quality, so I hope he can do the whole championship at this level.

"[He is] a young boy who has to shut his ears and not listen to criticism. To grow you have to make mistakes and he must have the right to do it," Casiraghi added.

He wasn't drafted in for Gareth Southgate's England side but will be hoping he can make the next selection if he continues his form throughout the season.
