The opening game of the new Premier League season brought excitement, optimism and anticipation, but after 90 minutes at Old Trafford, the feeling was disappointment.

Four goals from four unforced errors from the Blues, with the attacking threat not being clinical enough.

Speaking to the media post-match, Lampard stated that there was one difference between the sides on Sunday which decided the outcome: "They won it in our box by being clinical. That is where we let ourselves down. It is hard to talk about it after 4-0, it sounds stupid. They took their chances.

It doesn’t get easier for Chelsea either as they travel to Turkey tomorrow for the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool on Wednesday night.
