Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has got his head down and started working on new contracts on Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Lampard already had an instant impact with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount as the pair signed new long-term deals at the club.

Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi have been known to be in talks over extending their deals are the club, and Lampard gave an update on the situation.

"I know the club are talking to Willian. They [Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi] are both players I want in my squad. We’ve made good moves in pre-season. Mason Mount and [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek signed new contracts, that’s two good young players nailed down.

"We’re always trying to do that. From a football sense, I make my ideas clear and work very closely with [Chelsea director] Marina [Granovskaia] and the board and they’re two players we want to stay for sure."

Both of the players' contracts expire next summer, so contracts need to get signed before January which is heavily expected, otherwise they are free to speak to other clubs.
