Gonzalo Higuain has announced his retirement from international football with Argentina at the age of 31.
The forward made 75 appearances for Argentina, after making his debut back in October 2009 against Peru in which Higuain scored in.
In just under 10 years with La Albiceleste, he scored on 31 occasions and assisting 13 times.
He sees himself sixth on Argentina's highest goalscoring list, which is a great achievement from the on-loan Chelsea forward.
But media criticism seems to have taken its toll, and now he's decided to hang up his boots.
