Prior to the international break, Chelsea were on a good run of form - two wins on the bounce in the Premier League [Brighton and Southampton] and will be looking for their second home win of the season against Steve Bruce's Magpies in West London at the weekend.

Gaining momentum as cup competitions come into full swing for Frank Lampard and his men is crucial, and Newcastle seems the perfect opposition to continue the winning form.

Currently sitting in fifth, the Blues are 11 places ahead of their opponents at the weekend, with the Toon Army currently sat in the lower half of the table in 16th spot.
