BBC Pundit Garth Crooks has suggested the acquisition of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund is 'starting to suggest that the money was well spent.'
He has been in and out of the Chelsea side, having to remain patient for his chances, but when they have come, Pulisic has starred for the Blues.
The 21-year-old has shone for Frank Lampard since his return to the team, and that was capped off with his magnificent 'perfect hat-trick' in Chelsea's 4-2 win over Burnley at the weekend at Turf Moor.
It continued his run of fine performances, whilst it added another game to the Blues' winning streak - now at seven in all competitions.
Following Christian Pulisic's perfect performance in Lancashire on Saturday, he was included in football analyst Garth Crooks' team of the week.
"I said last week that Frank Lampard's ability to bring on the youngsters at Stamford Bridge was starting to make an impact and I never even included Christian Pulisic," the BBC pundit said in his weekly column.
"The scream of delight after the United States international scored his first Premier League goal for the club told only part of the story.
"When he arrived at the club I thought 'what's the game coming to; we're now spending £58m for an American! This hat-trick against Burnley is starting to suggest that this was money well spent.
"As for Lampard, how many more of these impressive youngsters does he have waiting in the background ready to explode onto the scene?"
