Report: Real Madrid interested in signing Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi
Callum Hudson-Odoi was the centre of attention in the summer with Bayern Munich fighting to secure his signature to take him to the Allianz Arena.
It was a battle for Chelsea and Frank Lampard to keep one of their most prized and promising assets at the club, but they did - just.
Bid after bid after bid - Chelsea rejected all three offers which came in from the Bavarians and Hudson-Odoi remained a Blue.
But now another European giant are coming for his signature, this time Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid.
According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Zidane wants to take the 19-year-old to the Bernabeu in a bid to add fresh young talent to his ageing squad.
Thibaut Courtois, then Eden Hazard in the summer, the Los Blancos are looking to raid Stamford Bridge once again.
However it will be harder than ever, with Hudson-Odoi convinced to remain in West London, after he revealed he only needed one conversation with head coach Frank Lampard to stay at the club.
"I had one conversation [with Frank Lampard]. I just had a conversation with him and then from there, I knew this is where I wanted to stay 100 per cent.
"I can’t say exactly what he said but he just said he believes in me, he wants me to work hard and if I believe in myself then he believes in me and things will go well for me at this club."
Chelsea's youngsters have thrived this term haven been given opportunities in the first-team, and it'll be a constant battle to keep the cohort together with clubs all around Europe showing their interest in the promising young stars.
