Chelsea claimed the three points on Sunday afternoon as a late flurry of goals at St. James Park made it an enthralling, but nervy encounter forwards the end.
A game which the Blues dominated on the ball, and it finally paid off but courtesy of the penalty spot. Marcos Alonso was fouled and Eden Hazard fired Chelsea ahead.
Despite Newcastle equalising with the game coming to a close, Chelsea kept on pushing and they were rewarded with what turned out to be the winner. Marcos Alonso's goalward effort was turned in by defence DeAndre Yedlin to seal the victory for the Blues.
Next up is Bournemouth at home - hopefully it'll be a little easier than today. But one thing is for sure, that seven year run has been ended. Get in!
