WATCH: Chelsea score four against the Saints to secure back-to-back wins for the first time this season

The Blues had already enjoyed a successful week prior to the trip to the south coast after wins against Brighton and LOSC Lille.

Frank Lampard was hoping his side could produce consistency, and be stable in defence in an effort to see the Blues collect more points to climb the Premier League table.

His side did just that, and produced an emphatic away performance which was reflected on the travelling faithful who were in fine voice.

Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and a deflected N'Golo Kante effort helped the visitors secure a 3-1 lead at half-time after Danny Ings pulled one back for the Saints.

Michy Batshuayi came on at the end, and added another to add to the euphoria in the away end at St. Mary's.

The win puts Chelsea back into fifth in the league, with the nearest competition of Leicester City and Arsenal sitting above them as we head into the international break.
