Liverpool 0-2 Everton: Player Ratings

Publish date:

The 238th Merseyside Derby. What could have been a glorious chance to push for Liverpool into the top 4 turned out to be catastrophic, the Reds suffering a 1-0 defeat at home.

Four straight league losses at Anfield for the first time since 1923. Staggering. This was also Klopp's first defeat in a Merseyside derby.

Here are LFC Transfer Room's player ratings:

Alisson Becker 5

Didn't have that much to do, and did more than enough when called upon.

Liverpool Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold 5

By far, our best player. Was dangerous throughout the end and defended solidly when called upon. Could do nothing for the penalty, which should have been turned over.

Ozan Kabak 4

Not the Anfield debut young Kabak was hoping for. Lacked awareness for the first goal in the game, and was evidently nervous.

Jordan Henderson 4

Another one bit the dust. Was playing well until his injury. Subbed off for Nathaniel Phillips.

Andrew Robertson 4

Was clearly trying hard so get something, all to vain.

Liverpool Midfielders

Thiago Alcantara 4.5

He actually had a decent game. Could have been better, but that's the case for every player wearing red on the pitch. Subbed off for Divock Origi.

Georginio Wjinaldum 4

Did virtually nothing throughout the game.

Curtis Jones 4.5

Showed some bright sparks today, turned off sometimes. Subbed off for Shaqiri.

Liverpool Attackers

Sadio Mané 4

Had an absolutely shocking game, should have had a brace easily.

Roberto Firmino 4.5

Was our best forward today but his woeful finishing was the wall between Liverpool and goals.

Mohamed Salah 4

Was hardly seen throughout the game. Tried to create things but nothing happened.

Nathaniel Phillips 4.5

Played like how a proper CB should. Didn't put a foot, or theater, a header wrong.

Xherdan Shaqiri 4

No noticeable impact.

Divock Origi N/A
