A former Bayern Munich player and France legend has spoken out to advise Kingsley Coman against moving away from the Allianz Arena. The scorer of the Champions League winning goal in 2020 had been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer.
Bixente Lizarazu was speaking to German publication Bild when he gave this thoughts as to why Coman should not consider a move away from Munich.
Lizarazu On Why Coman Should Stay
“I strongly advise Kingsley to stay [in] Bavaria. He is at an incredible club with which you can win titles every year and play for the Champions League."
“No doubt he should stay and shape an era with Bavaria, as Ribery did in the same position, for example.”
Since joining the German club from in Juventus in 2017, according to transfermarkt.co.uk Coman has contributed an impressive 41 goals and provided 50 assists in 204 games.
It is no doubt that it is these types of numbers that will have sparked the interest of Liverpool and others.
Coman is definitely a fine player but he has suffered with a lot of injuries for a player that is only 25 years old.
He would definitely be an asset to any club that he joins with his electric pace and skills but for Liverpool there are likely to be alternative targets such as Jérémy Doku.
