At the moment, there seems to be a milestone reached every week by players in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool squad. This week it was the turn of Sadio Mane who reached a century of Premier League goals.
It only took 8 minutes of the Premier League clash between Watford and Liverpool for Mane to reach the feat as he neatly finished a terrific pass in behind the Hornets defence from Mohamed Salah.
Mane On His 100 Premier League Goals
Speaking after the game to liverpoolfc.com Mane spoke about how immensely proud he was of this achievement.
“Honestly, when I came to the Premier League my dream was to score as many as I can and especially to win trophies,”
“So today I’m very happy and very proud to score 100 goals. Hopefully more goals [are] coming and also trophies coming.”
The Senegalese striker started his Premier League career when he moved to Southampton from Red Bull Salzburg in 2014.
An impressive return of 21 goals in 67 games for the Saints caught the eye of Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp who has admitted he had been interested in the player when he was managing in Germany.
Mane signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2016 and has played a huge role in their success adding another 79 Premier League goals to bring up the century.
