Roberto Firmino seems to be declining each season. This does not mean that Liverpool fans don't love him any less, but if we want to be competing for everything, we need a goalscoring striker.
A few names have been thrown around all summer from Dusan Vlahovic to Matheus Cunha. However, Atletico Madrid were very interest in Vlahovic but he is considered 'untouchable' by Fiorentina and their back-up option is to sign Cunha.
It seems very unlikely that if Liverpool do sign a forward player this window it will most likely be a winger to help Mohamed Salah and give him some rest.
One player that Liverpool fans would love to spearhead the attack is Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian had an unbelievable debut season with Dortmund and he has continued this season if flying form with 5 five goals in three games for BVB.
In a recent interview, Jurgen Klopp was asked about if Liverpool have interest in Haaland, to which he claimed the 21-year-old was a 'force of nature'.
"I don't have his number! He's just a very interesting player. I really like the energy he brings to the pitch. But he would generally be watched by most of the teams.
"The boy is a force of nature. When he celebrated a goal, he hit the ball on the ground, so I wasn't sure if there was a dent in the ground."
“Sooner or later he will be in discussion with large clubs. I don't know if that will be the case next year, but then Dortmund will have to counter it."
We know Klopp rarely comments on other clubs players, especially when there is transfer speculation around them, so hopefully that is good news for Liverpool fans!
