So when he was linked with a move to Liverpool, fans became very excited as they hoped he would choose Liverpool due to his connection with the club.

However, the 22-year-old quickly changed his mind and has recently decided to sign for Leicester City, according to multiple reports.

Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that the contracts have been signed, his medical has been completed and the club announcement will be soon.

In a recent interview with Austrian outlet Krone, Daka confirmed that he will be leaving Salzburg this summer to join up with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester.

"I will go to England and move to Leicester City." said Daka.

"I had a great time here, Salzburg has become my second home," he added. "I will always be happy to come back here, but the Premier League has always been my big dream."

It is going to be very interesting to watch Daka at Leicester next season. He is tipped to be Jamie Vardy's successor and he'll be planning to strike up a good partnership with Kelechi Iheanacho during the season.

It's unfortunate that Liverpool didn't sign him but there's plenty more fish in the sea and if we are really interested in a forward then we will sign one, it just won't be Patson Daka.
