‘They Are Unstoppable’ - Caoimhin Kelleher On Liverpool Trio Salah, Firmino And Mane

Ireland international Caoimhin Kelleher proved once again he is an able deputy for Alisson Becker as Liverpool ran out 5-0 against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

Whilst the keeper was largely a spectator for most of the game due to the brilliant nature of Liverpool's play, he was still ready when he pushed Ismaila Sarr's shot on to the post late on.

All of Liverpool's goals came from the front three with Roberto Firmino scoring a hattrick and Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah helping themselves to one apiece.

Unstoppable

As reported by the Liverpool Echo Kelleher spoke after the game about the attacking trio and explained how difficult they are to stop when on song.

"I train with them every day and sometimes they are just unstoppable, you can't do anything."

"To watch them in full flow is a joy to watch."

"They all gel well together and Bobby is getting in the right positions to be able to tap them in, and that's not an easy thing."

"They are in such great form at the moment they are pretty much unstoppable."

Best In The World?

The keeper who made his first start for Ireland in midweek in the friendly win against Qatar was also asked about Salah's form and whether he thinks he is the best in the world which is a tag he has been given by many of late.

"It certainly looks like that. He's scored some unbelievable goals this season and can't stop scoring."

"He is in some top form at the moment so, from my point of view, definitely."

Concentration Levels

The 22 year old who was largely redundant for the majority of the match emphasised just how important it is in the Premier League to remain concentrated and focussed regardless of the match situation.

"It's not easy obviously, but playing for a team like Liverpool where for the majority of games we are going to dominate possession I'm not going to have much to do."

"But when I am called upon, that's the most important time. Thankfully I was able to make a save and keep the clean sheet."

LFCTR Verdict

It seems fair to say that after his initial spell in a Liverpool shirt, the supporters were never comfortable when seeing Adrian in-between the sticks.

Kelleher has however been impressive when called upon and is quickly earning the trust of his manager, colleagues and supporters fast.

As for the front three, they were sublime yesterday so let's hope there is more of the same to come and don't forget there is Diogo Jota in the mix as well.
