Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota's brace see the Reds leave the capital again with three points to move within two points of the Champions League places.

Jota came on as a second-half substitute on the hour mark and it took him just four minutes to find the back of the net with a thumping header.

One shortly became two, Salah broke the tackle of Gabriel, held off the defender and brilliantly poked the ball through Bernd Leno's legs.

The 24-year-old Portuguese international continued his rich vein of form from the Arsenal defenders mistake, Salah looked for Sadio Mane but it trickled through to the Reds key man and he made no mistake.

Liverpool cruised to three points with a clinical second half.

Liverpool in control but fail to make chances pay

Liverpool dominated a lot of the first half on the possession and chances front.

Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and James Milner had the best chances from the visitors.

The Brazilian skillfully cut inside on his right foot but his effort fizzed wide.

Mane was looking to put his misfiring patch behind him,  he steered his header on target but it was easy for Bernd Leno.

The Reds looked up for it with their intense pressing and commitment to win the first ball.

Milner had a golden opportunity from just inside the 18-yard box but failed to hit the target following Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Nicolas Pepe had a half-chance for Mikel Arteta's side but it was an easy grab for Alisson.

First Half Reflection

PositivesNegatives

4: Mane brilliantly spun Rob Holding but his attempted pass to Firmino saw the play break down.

One of the only negatives is not taking the chances that fell to the Reds, a lot of decent chances with Milner missing the best one.

Liverpool enjoying the early chances, Milner and Fabinho firing wide.

Looked very dangerous inside the opening half an hour.

Liverpool cruise into fifth

The substitute, Cedric, galloped into some space inside the Liverpool box but his strike was straight at Alisson.

Jota continued his rich vein of form with yet another header from Alexander-Arnold's header.

Salah doubled the Reds lead just four minutes later. Gabriel's failed slide tackle fell kindly to the Egyptian he trodded through, held off the Brazilian and slotted it through Leno's legs.

Arsenal were sinking without a trace, Gabriel's poor clearance was picked up by Alexander-Arnold found Salah, he looked for Mane but it trickled through to the substitute and he made no mistake in doubling his tally.

Second Half Reflection

PositivesNegatives

Diogo Jota scores headers.

Lack creativity in the early stages.

Almost the Liverpool of old, fluid football.

LFC Transfer Room Verdict

Liverpool, eh? Can we play in London and Budapest every week?

First half we dominated but it was almost the same old story.

The introduction of Jota changed the game, how on earth does that man win headers? Four headers in three games for club and country.

We looked confident, we pressed with intent and aggression, maybe the finishing raises a few eyebrows but that second 45, they made no mistake.

Three wins in three, two points off fourth.
