Eagle-eyed Liverpool fans hilariously spotted a kit blunder during their 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

The Reds had to come from behind to beat Dean Smith's side after Ollie Watkins fired the Midlands club in front minutes before the break.

However, Mohamed Salah's strike early in the second half and Trent Alexander-Arnold's emphatic late winner ended a 115-day wait for three points at Anfield.

A lot has changed since December 16 when Roberto Firmino headed the winner against Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur.

They momentarily moved into the top four with the win as Chelsea visited Selhurst Park for the late kick-off against Crystal Palace.

Thomas Tuchel's side made light work of the Eagles with the Blues running out 4-1 winners.

Not quite the 7-0 drubbing that the Reds dealt the South London side.

With a big second leg against Real Madrid on the horizon, it will no doubt instil confidence in their bid to overcome a two-goal deficit against Zinedine Zidane's side.

Fans spotted the error with the game finely poised at 1-1, as the match-winner stepped up to take a corner for the Reds.

Liverpool enjoyed the lion share of chances with the Premier League champions squandering a number of opportunities with substitute Sadio Mane missing the chance to make it 3-1 before Paul Tierney blew the final whistle.

The six-time winners will host Real Madrid on Wednesday, Jurgen Klopp's side must avoid conceding in order to make the challenge greater.
