Liverpool are set to play Arsenal in what is turning out to be a must win Premier League match for the Reds. Ahead of kickoff, Jurgen Klopp discussed the opposition, the starting eleven and Chelsea's result.
When Klopp was asked about Chelsea losing to West Brom he responded, "Things only change if you win football games. We have to win here today."
The German manager quickly changed subjects when a reporter asked him about the changes to the starting eleven.
"Diogo had really intense games for Portugal, same for Gini for Holland, they felt it a little bit here and there, so that is the reason for the changes."
"I saw a lot of players during the week training with us, how they looked and what they did, and that's the reason for the line-up."
"I am happy with the team. Now we have to perform. I am expecting a good game."
After explaining his reasoning for the changes to the lineup, Klopp was full of praise for Arsenal.
"They have put everything offensively into today pretty much! The speed they have upfront and it's a good football team."
"If we defend them and play our football, we will have one or two chances and then we will try to win the game."
The German boss is well aware of the speed that Arsenal's attack has and knows that there is loads of talent in London side.
"We have to be ready to defend them. The speed they have upfront with Aubameyang, Lacazette, Pepe, Odegaard No.10, Ceballos as an eight – I'm not sure if he's played together with Partey but he's a proper six."
