During Netherlands' 3-2 win over Ukraine in the 2020 Euros, Georginio Wijnaldum showed Liverpool exactly what they will be missing next season.
The former Newcastle United midfielder scored from 16 yards out to give the Netherlands a 1-0 lead over Ukraine in the 52nd minute.
Wijnaldum put in an impressive display in the five goal match and reminded Liverpool fans that the club have their hands full when finding his replacement.
Although the transfer window is not yet officially open, that has not stopped Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards from looking for a potential replacement.
Several midfielders have been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.
Among those linked with summer moves to Anfield are Brighton and Hove Albion's Yves Bissouma, Borussia Monchengladbach's Florian Neuhaus, Udinese's Rodrigo De Paul, Leicester City's Youri Tielemans and Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez.
However, reports claim that Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool may already have Wijnaldum's replacement.
Curtis Jones To Replace Wijnaldum
According to new reports from Guardian reporter Andy Hunter, there is no guarantee that Liverpool sign a replacement for Paris Saint-Germain's new signing Georginio Wijnaldum.
Andy Hunter went on to say that on top of the possibility that Liverpool may not bring in a replacement, that Jurgen Klopp is keen to hand Curtis Jones more opportunities next season.
The Scouser made a total of 34 appearances for Liverpool during the 2020/21 campaign and looks to be in line for an increase in minutes next season.
Liverpool may yet bring in another midfielder this summer but Klopp seems more than happy to rely on the 20 year-old.
