Liverpool have secured a top four place in the Premier League after today's match against Crystal Palace confirmed that The Reds would finish the season in third place. Liverpool's 2-0 victory saw Jurgen Klopp's side clinch Champions League football for next season. While the spine of Liverpool is set to remain in tact, there will be one face missing next season.
Georginio Wijnaldum is all but set to leave Liverpool this summer with several clubs vying for his signature. Of the clubs that are interested in signing Wijnaldum this summer are Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, and AS Roma. In recent weeks, Bayern Munich have jumped to the front of the line for Wijnaldum's services.
With today's match against Crystal Palace set to be Wijnaldum's last match as a Liverpool player, he has said that he will deeply miss the club and the supporters.
When speaking to Sky Sports after Liverpool's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace Georginio Wijnaldum was very thankful to the Liverpool supporters.
"The people in Liverpool have shown me love during the five years. I will miss them, you know? I hope to have played many more years for the club but unfortunately things went different. I have to start a new adventure. I didn't sign somewhere else."
With the Premier League season finished and the transfer window opening in just a few weeks, where will Wijnaldum play next season?
