After suffering a serious knee injury in November while on international duty with England that required surgery, Joe Gomez has returned to solo training at the AXA Training Centre.
The centre-back posted an update to Instagram on Tuesday of him doing various exercises at Liverpool's training ground. In the video, it shows the England defender playing with a football inside and even running outside for the first time since his injury in November.
The former Charlton Athletic defender showed off his recovery process while doing resistance band work, using weight lifting machines and doing quick feet exercises.
The Liverpool centre back looked to be in good spirits as he resumed solo training.
When Jurgen Klopp was asked about letting Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip go to the Euros he responded, "It is not my decision [for the Euros] but to be honest the information I have in the moment is that it will be unlikely."
"So it is not that I don't let them go, because I don't want to have to do that any way, it is because of the extent of the injuries."
The Reds, who have kept two clean sheets in a row using the centre back pairing of Nathaniel Phillips and Ozan Kabak, have desperately missed Joe Gomez this season.
"The two of them (Van Dijk and Gomez) look better than Joel as he is still in what looks like ski boots."
With Joe Gomez out for the foreseeable future, The Reds will likely start Kabak and Phillips against Arsenal after the international break.
