Jude Bellingham is one of the highest-rated teenagers in world football and his selection for Gareth Southgate's EURO squad has backed that up even more.
Even at his young age, he is still being selected over seasoned veterans. The 17-year-old is set to wear number 26 at the EUROs but in their friendly v Austria, Jordan Henderson gave him the legendary number eight shirt for the match.
Henderson was sidelined with a minor niggle for the game and was meant to play but in the end he wasn't needed with England looking comfortable and winning 1-0.
Bellingham had this to say after the game, “It was a dream come true, especially to get it from Hendo, who has been such a big part of the team,”
“I’m very thankful to him and the team for making it an enjoyable one, and we got the win.“
"I loved every minute of it. It’s obviously a dream come true to start for England. Hopefully, many more to come.”
In April, EUROSport linked the player with Liverpool and also Chelsea but they went on to say Dortmund consider Bellingham was 'untouchable' and that their current value for the teenager is around £100million. A price FSG would definitely not pay for a 17-year-old.
Bellingham also hasn't helped to not give Liverpool fans hope, the teenager recently retweeted a video of a Steven Gerrard compilation and that got fans talking about a possible future transfer straight away.
No matter where Bellingham ends up he is going to be world-class as he has already proved with Borussia Dortmund. Hopefully when the time comes that the German side cash in on him, he will be attracted to the bright lights of Anfield.
