Liverpool's teenage wonder kid Kaide Gordon has signed his first professional deal with the club after making his first-team debut this season.
The now 17-year-old signed for the Reds from Derby in January 2021 and has been one of the highest-rated prospects the club has since.
Despite not being at the club long, Gordon left no time making good impressions throughout the club.
The England youth international has already grabbed the attention of the Liverpool hierarchy, including manager Jurgen Klopp.
Gordon made such a big impression on the German that he said, “He’s ready for these moments, he’s just ready!” in his post-match press conference on Gordon's debut vs Norwich in the League Cup.
It was for good reason as well, despite being just 16 at the time of the game, Gordon looked like he was ready to mix it with the best of them, looking completely comfortable around more senior squad players.
For Gordon, the next step will without a doubt be establishing himself amongst the first-team squad.
Time and time again Jurgen Klopp has shown he is willing to give youth a chance, with lots of success stories coming from the youth set up.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, and Rhys Williams are just a few of those who have made a stamp, grant it getting the call up for different reasons.
Gordon will no doubt be a household name for years to come, it just remains to be seen whether his time will come now or a few years down the line.
