Liverpool Transfer Targets Make 2021 Kopa Trophy Shortlist

Bellingham, Doku and Gravenberch all make under 21 Ballon d’Or shortlist.

On Friday, Mohamed Salah was confirmed as Liverpool’s sole nomination for the suite of Ballon d’Or awards to be presented in Paris on November 29.

The Egyptian’s form has been nothing short of sensational and no-one can deny he doesn't thoroughly deserve his nomination.

It was a number of young players that have been linked with Liverpool however that dominated the ten man shortlist for the Kopa Trophy.

Jude Bellingham, Jérémy Doku and Ryan Gravenberch are all names that continue to be talked about as transfer targets for Jurgen Klopp.

All three make the list alongside seven other players who are some of the hottest prospects in Europe including Pedri of Barcelona and Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich.

The inaugural winner of the award in 2018 was Kylian Mbappe and his victory was followed up in 2019 by Dutchman Matthijs de Ligt.

Due to the pandemic, there was no award in 2020 so it will be exciting to see who is crowned the best under 21 player on the planet at the ceremony in France's capital.
