Liverpool, who won the Premier League title last year, look likely to miss out on Champions League football next season. The Reds look set for a summer clear-out after a season which failed to yield any silverware. Players who have been linked with Anfield exits include; Harry Wilson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita and even club talisman Mohamed Salah.
However, in a recent interview with Sky Sports, Mohamed Salah has said that he is still committed to Liverpool and winning silverware with the Merseyside club.
“I said before that I want to win the Premier League again, I want to win the Champions League again."
Mohamed Salah has amassed an impressive amount of silverware with Liverpool which includes; Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. While this is enough for most footballers, Mohamed Salah is hungry for more.
"It’s a great thing to win, I’m just trying to win it again and again. Part of our job is to win trophies.”
Unfortunately for the Egyptian king, Liverpool will end this season without any trophies and could potentially be without Champions League football next year. The Reds bowed out of the Champions League after being defeated in the quarter finals of the competition at the hand of Real Madrid. Jurgen Klopp's side also sit in seventh place in the Premier League with hope of a top four finish all but gone.
While Salah may not take home any team awards, he is still in the running for the Premier League Golden Boot, an award that he has already won twice (17/18, 18/19). Salah has 20 league goals and is only behind Harry Kane (21 goals) for the prestigious award.
