Liverpool have many promising stars on loan that many expect to have a big impact on the first team in the upcoming seasons. One of those players is Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg.
The young Liverpool loanee has enjoyed a loan spell at Preston this season, having made 16 appearances so far for the Championship side.
Many expect van den Berg to come back to Kirkby at the end of the season and try to make a name for himself within Jurgen Klopp's plans next season, but that seems to not be the case.
The young defender has come out and admitted that he wants to go out on loan once again when his current loan deal with Preston North End finishes.
Speaking to the Liverpool ECHO the 19-year old centre-back said:
"I don’t really know where I will be in the summer. I want to go on loan again. That’s what I’d prefer. I will see, there is no rush. I have a nice little break to think about it.
"...I want to be out on loan in the summer and to gain more experience so I can be ready when I come back to Liverpool to play in the first team."
With the expected arrival of Ibrahima Konate and the permanent deal of Ozan Kabak also set to be done at the end of the season, it seems like going out on loan once again is the best option for Sepp van den Berg.
Jurgen Klopp will have a surplus of defenders this summer, and he will surely have to get rid of a few names in order to accommodate his new additions. The likes of Joel Matip and even Nathaniel Phillips who has impressed this season could be on their way out as Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez look set to come back to the first team after recovering from long lasting injuries.
