16 Year-Old Kaide Gordon Is Training With Liverpool's First Team

Highly rated 16 year-old Kaide Gordon has been pictured training with Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool's first team.

On 5 February 2021, highly rated 16 year-old Kaide Gordon signed for Liverpool for a fee of £3million from Derby County. 

Gordon has impressed a lot of people this season with how fast he has adapted to Liverpool and the quality he has been showing in U18 games. Kaide Gordon has an impressive 9 goals and 3 assists in 12 appearances, in the U18 Premier League this season.

The 16 year-old recently got called up the the U23 team and scored a goal on his debut after an amazing solo run from another highly rated Liverpool youngster Paul Glatzel.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, the Liverpool U23 Coach is not the only person to take an interested in Kaide Gordon. The big boss himself Jurgen Klopp recently got Gordon to train with the first team for the first time since joining from Derby, something only youngsters that Klopp highly rates get the pleasure of doing. 

Kaide Gordon isn't the only Liverpool academy player who has been hitting the headlines recently. 17 year-old Mateusz Musialowski has also caught the eyes of fans in recent weeks. Since joining Liverpool in August 2020, he has been picked by Klopp to join in on some first team training sessions too.

This is a very interesting time for the Liverpool academy. It seems like moving the first team players and coaching staff to Kirby, so all of the teams can be together, has definitely benefited the youngsters and their development.

With the likes of Harvey Elliott, Kaide Gordon, Mateusz Musialowski, James Balagizi, Melkamu Frauendorf, Curtis Jones and many other exciting prospects coming through the ranks and showing their class, it's going to be a very exciting time to be a Liverpool fan and seeing our academy graduates break into the first team squad.
