Opinion : Hey Jude, The Most Important Signee For Liverpool In 2022

Next summer's transfer window for Liverpool needs to be filled with club changing signings and this could be the one.

Liverpool fans have been very critical of the club and FSG's approach to this past summer's transfer window. The window saw the signing of defender Ibrahima Konate from Red Bull Leipzig before the 2020-2021 season had even concluded. The center-back position was needing a new face and Konate will provide that, even if it means his partnership with Virgil Van Dijk is delayed.

This next summer's transfer window is lining up to be littered with players to be had for free and young talented players ready for their next big time move. Jude Bellingham fits that bill.

Over the weekend, England beat Andorra 4-0, with a starting midfield of Jude Bellingham and Liverpool's own Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Once the lineup was tweeted out, Liverpool fans were drooling at the mouth with just how unique that midfield was and how it needed to be an Anfield staple soon.

Bellingham is an impressive young player and at just 18-years-old, he is already an every match-week starter for German side Borussia Dortmund and even saw himself included in the England squad for Euro 2020.

According to Sky Sports, Jordan Henderson was quoted to saying Bellingham is, "miles ahead" of when he was at the age. Henderson has been fond of Bellingham even as recently as this past summer after many social media posts of them two together at the Euros. Bellingham has even said his dream jersey swap would be with Liverpool's club legend Steven Gerrard.

The writing is on the wall and Liverpool have to make Bellingham a priority next summer. Dortmund will be trying to sign him to a new contract to insure they get the highest amount they can possibly get in a transfer next summer. But, this is a deal that needs to get done from a Liverpool perspective.

Bellingham is a generational English talent and with his admirations for club legend Steven Gerrard and the current Liverpool captain Henderson publicly praising him.Surely, Klopp has his eyes on him and this signing could be a kickstarter for the next wave of Liverpool dominance while getting the Liverpool faithful back on track with its transfer business.
