Liverpool have needed a solid back-up keeper for a while now and when they signed West Ham's Adrian on a free transfer in 2019, they were hoping he would be the solution.

Adrian had a great start to his Liverpool career, he was a big part of winning the Super Cup against Chelsea after a tense penalty shootout.

After the Super Cup win, Adrian was probably expecting he wouldn't be playing much but he ended up getting a lot more game time than expected.

Alisson Becker picked up a few injuries and the Spanish keeper ended up playing 11 games in Liverpool's title winning season.

Adrian won all 11 games and even though he made some notable mistakes he was a big part of Liverpool winning their first Premier League title.

Another mind blowing stat is that Adrian has the highest win rate in Liverpool’s league history of any player with 86%. He may not be the best keeper we've ever had but that will take some beating and might never be broken.

However, it looks like it's coming to an end for Adrian's Liverpool career. According to Mark Ogden at ESPN, he claims 'Adrian is likely to leave as a free agent' when asked the question who could be leaving Liverpool this summer.

Unfortunately for Adrian, the embarrassment of the 7-2 defeat against Aston Villa might overshadow the rest of his Liverpool career in the minds of Liverpool fans.

It's still unsure whether Liverpool are going to replace the Spaniard or if they are going to trust academy keeper Caoimhín Kelleher to be Alisson's number two next season, we'll have to wait and see.
