Harry Wilson has departed to Fulham and Xherdan Shaqiri has asked the Liverpool board to allow him to leave this summer. The Reds are now in desperate need of a new attacker.

A lot of names have been floated around, from Jeremy Doku to Kylian Mbappe. It seems like if you're an attacker then you've been linked with a move to Anfield this summer.

Federico Chiesa

One name that got Liverpool fans very excited over a possible transfer is Juventus' Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa was a massive part of Italy's EUROs win this summer and his price tag will have massively increased due to his performances.

That is great news for Juventus but not for other clubs who were previously watching him.

The 23-year-old is still technically on his final year of a two season loan in Turin but Juve has an obligation to buy him from Fiorentina at the end of his loan move so he's basically their player.

However, this hasn't stopped clubs showing an interest in him. It was reported that Premier League sides Liverpool and Chelsea were poking around and seeing what his current situation is.

The reports that came out of that is Juve consider him their star player and they want to build their team around him in the future. The Old Lady won't sell him unless an unthinkable offer is tabled.

Sky Sports confirmed Liverpool's interest in the winger when they said that Liverpool hold an interest in Chiesa but they consider the 23-year-old too expensive to pursue currently.

This doesn't mean that The Reds won't explore the transfer in the future but this season it seems like Federico is staying in Turin.
