Exclusive: Origi Wants To Leave Liverpool

In an exclusive interview with Sacha Tavoliere, the journalist revealed that the Belgian striker wants to leave Anfield on deadline day.

Liverpool's transfer window has been relatively disappointing compared to that of the other 'Big six' Premier League clubs.

The Reds have found themselves on the transfer sidelines as their compatriots revamped their squads.

Ibrahima Konate

After signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig, Liverpool supporters were told that further incomings would only happen if players were to leave; specifically Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi.

As you may know, Xherdan Shaqiri recently completed a permanent transfer to Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon.

If reporters were to be trusted, this meant that the only thing stopping Liverpool FC from signing a new attacker was Divock Origi's desire to stay at Anfield.

However, it seems that the Belgian striker has now changed his mind.

In an exclusive interview with LFC Transfer Room, Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed that Divock Origi wants to leave the club in search of "more playing opportunities".

The Belgian journalist revealed that the Liverpool striker and his entourage are searching for a solution that would see him end his Anfield tenure.

Although both parties are keen on a permanent transfer, Origi's camp believe that Liverpool's demands are proving to be a stopping block.

With only one year left on his contract, it has been difficult to find a club interested in meeting Liverpool's £20m valuation.

Sacha Tavolieri went on to say that there are several teams from both the Bundesliga and Premier League who are interested in signing Origi.

With just hours left in the window, Divock Origi and Liverpool FC are both hopeful of reaching a compromise.

Not only would this see Liverpool move on from Champions League hero Divock Origi, but potentially sign a new attacker.

Keep an eye out on new updates on this story from both Sacha Tavolieri and LFC Transfer Room.
