With so many transfer rumours coming in, it seems that Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards have a plan to strengthen the team from top to bottom. The Reds have been linked with every position on the pitch in what could turn out to be a squad refresh over the upcoming summer transfer window. One name that seems to be popping up more and more frequently is Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.
It was previously reported that the young German midfielder is desperate to move to Liverpool this summer in order to play for Jurgen Klopp. German journalist and Bundeliga expert Christian Falk reported that Neuhaus wants to play "under the guidance" of Jurgen Klopp and believes that Liverpool is the perfect club to make the next step in his career.
The young German who is currently plying his trade in the German Bundesliga is being lined up as a potential replacement for the outgoing Georginio Wijnaldum. Wijnaldum has been linked with several clubs including Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and has recently been offered a three-year deal with Bayern Munich.
With Wijnaldum's high wages off of Liverpool's books, SportBILD have reported that it is highly-conceivable that Florian Neuhaus will sign with Liverpool this summer. They also mention that there is no internal commitment for the 24 year-old to stay with his current club Borussia Monchengladbach.
However, if Liverpool want to sign him they will have to meet his €40m exit clause.
