Ibrahima Konate Agrees to Personal Terms With Liverpool

Ibrahima Konate will join Liverpool this summer according to Fabrizio Romano.

Fast forward one day and the good news just keeps coming. According to renowned transfer insider and news breaker Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have reached a total agreement with Ibrahima Konate on personal terms. Fabrizio Romano has reported that the French defender has agreed to a contract that would tie him to Liverpool until June 2026. 

The addition of Ibrahima Konate would once again make Liverpool's backline one of the best in the Premier League if not the world of football. With Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all slated to come back from season ending injuries, Jurgen Klopp will have a tough time figuring out who to start.

However, the transfer is far from finished. Fabrizio Romano, in the same report, went on to say that the Liverpool Football Club board is working tirelessly to complete the signing of Konate from Red Bull Leipzig. Romano says that they will complete it within the next few weeks when Ibrahima Konate's release clause becomes available. 

Romano has previously claimed that Liverpool will pay Leipzig a fee of around €35 million to officially sign Konate in the highly anticipated transfer.
